Qualified RGN to do RMN conversion - RMN work in NZ

Currently I'm a qualified adult nurse with a degree gained in the UK. I have 18 months medical experience, then I went travelling around the world also taking in all of New Zealand which was great. I'm currently not nursing as the job situation is so bad where I am. I've applied to do the conversion course to Mental Health which will take 18 months starting in September 2010. I'm also aware that the job situation is poor in this area of nursing here but I've always wanted to do the course.

On graduation, I'm hoping that my boyfriend and I might be able to go to New Zealand again. Was wondering what the job situation is like there for mental health nurses? (obviously I realise there's a while to go but i'm interested to know of the current situation) Do they accept newly qualified RMN's from the UK? What route is best to gain employment?

I'm adult RMN in the samel situation would like to ask if there is any limit age to get the job in NZ how much costs this conversion course? are you now in NZ how is now the situation there? how is the life standard? is it expensive?
