So I'm going to be a matriculate student at QCC (Queensborough community college) during fall of 2014. I'm just so excited to be accepted into the pre-clinical program but the long journey won't start until I actually pass the NLN-PAX exam to get to the nursing program. .
For now my concerns are about registering for classes. I need some advice on which class I should take on the same day as the others. And which liberal arts and science electives would be the most easiest one and is very useful in the near future than the rest. For now I want to take simple so I can have a better grade and a higher percentage to get into the nursing program.
Pre-requisites requirement

I would like my scheduled to be...
This would help me in choosing a scheduled that won't overwhelm me with pressure.
I would also like to join a swim team and some clubs so please recommend me some classes that I can work with and not be bothered with other school activities. I was thinking if I'm active there's a more of a chance to get into the nursing program. I can't wait to be part of QCC in the fall of 2014 and I'm looking forward to it.
THANK YOU!!!!

I got accepted into the program for Fall 2014 and I'll be honest ..they don't look if you're on the swim team or clubs (but if you're doing it just because you really want to be a part of it then thats fine but the nursing program doesn't necessarily look at that stuff). Your grades, interview, and PAX score are what count. Focus on getting a REALLY HIGH GPA for now. Don't slack off!
Regarding the classes you should take.. you should speak to an adviser when the time comes for registration (which probably happens during freshman orientation)
Good luck :)

What yr gpa and pax score?
My pre-requisite gpa was a 4.0 and my PAX score was 110.
Thx cutiepie4461.
I did change my mind before you posted up about the swim team. I had a lot of my friends telling me not to join any sports and I find them right. Right now it's to focus on what's really important. But one thing's for sure, I'm not gonna join a bundle of clubs that would overwhelm me when it comes time to finals. I might join maybe one or 2. But thx for giving this advice to me and all of the people wanting to become future nurses. And I agree what's most important is the grades, PAX, and the interviews. Those are what's needed to guide you to the world of nursing.
