PVAMU CON FALL 2011 hopefuls

:nurse: I was searching for a thread for PVAMU upcoming Fall 2011 CON hopefuls, but couldn't seem to find one so i decided to start the thread. I took the HESI for UTMB but missed it by 2 points on the Chemistry portion. So i will be retaking it for admission to PV. PV only requires 4 parts of the exam thank god! MY GPA is a 3.6 overall and a i have a 4.0 in Science. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas with other hopefuls and i wish everyone the best of luck as the deadline is fast approaching.:yeah: Do we need 3 letters of rec and how long is the essay?

UTMB does not take the HESI, they take the TEAS V.

I just took the Hesi today 2/23 and im hopefully turning everything in before the 1st. Overall my score on the Hesi was an 89

BTW I can't seem to find the application for PVAMU online, can anyone direct me on what we need to completely turn in on the 1st, and what all is needed? thank you I'd greatly appreciate it.

it is late in the game for pvamu. i know there application date goes to march 1, 2011. i talked to the admissions lady when i turned in my application on feb 10 and she told me that a lot of students already had their applications in. if you have not completed all pre-reqs (even if you are finishing this current semester), you will probably not get in for the fall 2011. pvamu operates on a frist come - first serve basis (according to thd pvamu admissions' office) and if you are still taking classes this semester, you will probably not get in. ** but you should still apply, because some students will not accept their spots. also, it will make it easier if you will need to re-apply for the spring 2012. good luck!

Okay do i wait for an admission letter to be mailed to me? bc I called her today and told her I had completed the Hesi, all my transcripts are sent, Im only completing nutrition now. So what do i do now? i even asked her when I can start turning stuff in for the Spring 2012 and she said that's not even posted yet. But I would have liked a time frame so I won't go after the March 1st turning in all my stuff. But I did everything that's on that check list and idk about the application/admission paper, iddk where to find it.Thank you
