psychiatric nurse board certification

Published

I am preparing to take the psychiatric nurse board certification exam in a few months. I was wondering how many questions can be missed on the test and still be able to pass? What is the best study method to pass? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I don't know what their grading criteria is (how many questions you can miss and still pass). You could ask the ANCC but honestly, I doubt they'll tell you. Also keep in mind that a few of the questions on the test are experimental/test questions which are not graded.

I used two study guides--one from the ANCC and one from another publisher--plus flashcards. I studied over the course of 2 months...not daily though.

I'm in just the beginning phase of studying. I bought the study book from the ANCC, another study guide off of Amazon, and flash cards. Going through the ANCC boom, the information seems overwhelming at times. I just really don't know what to focus on. Any advice or recommendations on a good way to study would be very much appreciated!
