Psych Intake Nurse

So I'm a new grad who accepted a job as Psych Intake in the ER (I posted about this job way back in March I do believe). I know I'm in the minority, but I enjoy Psych. I enjoy it so much that I'm interested in eventually moving from doing intake to being a Psych nurse in a traditional unit. In the short month that I've done this job I have done assessments, done preauthorization for insurance, and done admits to our psych unit. That said, I know I'm just scratching the tip of the iceberg, but i feel that this is giving me great experience for the jump over to a psych unit. Any career advice would be awesome. I am obligated to stay in my position for six months, after that it's game on. If I'm unable to transfer within the hospital, I've considered the state hospitals or private psych facilities. Again, any info or words of wisdom would be appreciated.
