protective eyewear

Hi - I wear glasses and I've been wearing the disposable mask with the shield for intubating - but I'm always fogging up and I want to take it off instead of wearing it for the whole case. Does anyone use protective eyewear that fits over their glasses? I have found some online that are "fit over Rx" - does anyone use these? Any recommendations?

Thanks,

-S

Piper I too wear glasses and worked in the OR for 7+ years. This is what I did to avoid the fogging up -

--- Use the mask that is a faceshield and mask in one (most ORs have them), wear a regular mask, and flip the 2 in 1 mask upside down, fold the mask section and tie it around your head. You will now have really great eye protection with the faceshield facing down and no fogging because your mask is separate. Good luck!
