Hello,
I am a prospective grad student interested in pursuing an FNP degree, however, I am hitting road blocks in my school prospects. I graduated in 2013 with a 3.0 in my last 60hours. I passed my NCLEX on my first try; I worked on a Cardiac Tele unit for a year, then worked on a Neuro medical surgical unit for 2 years. Both units are considered step-down units from ICU. I recently joined float pool to broaden my experience primarily ED. I am ACLS and PALS certified. I am an active member of the national and local nursing association. This is a little bit of boasting, but the managers I work for are trying to hire me full time to work on their unit; My float pool manager received a complimentary letter from our DON complimenting my work ethics; I have NP, PA, and Doctors on standby willing to teach me if accepted into a program. However, I cannot seem to impress the admission office to accept me as a student. I am getting depressed because I know I can do great in the program if accepted. I am willing to give up more than a lot to complete my MSN, but no one is giving me a chance. I don't know what else I can do to impress. Please, I'd like some suggestions on ways to impress the admission committee.

Hmm.... Does the program require the GRE for admission? If so, perhaps that is the issue. If your scores aren't great... you can study and re-take it.
