What do you guys think my chances are with these statistics?
Good Letters of recommendation. One from a professor who I worked for in her lab(Professional), another from a professor who I did well in her graduate level class and would help tutor other people in the class for her(Academic), and another from my professor in Histology(in case someone doesn't know, simply stated Histology is like an upper level anatomy and physiology class)
B.S in Biology/Minor in Psychology from Umass- Amherst
3.1 GPA
My GPA is low because I did poorly my Junior year. I had trouble adjusting to a big school with large classes and my family was going through a health crisis which actually led me down this path of wanting to enter the healthcare field. Here are some statistics w/o my Junior year.
In my last 58 credits my GPA was a 3.253 (58 credits, 188.7 Quality Points, 188.7/58 = 3.253)
My overall Psychology minor was 3.26 (15 credits, 48.9 Quality Points, 48.9/15 = 3.26)
My Science GPA not including my poor Junior year is 3.375 (64 Credits, 216 Quality Points,216/64= 3.375)
My Biology GPA not including my junior year is 3.635 (26 credits, 94.5 Quality Points, 94.5/26 = 3.635)
My GPA in my Biology Graduate level classes was 3.58(10 credits, 35.8 Quality Points, 35.8/10 = 3.58)
-Graduate level classes were BIO 548 Mammology, BIO 550 Animal Behavior, and BIO 523 Histology
My GPA n Pre-reqs as it stands is 3.163( 11 credits, 34.8 Quality Points, 34.8/11 = 3.163)
-I am planning to take A&P II, Nutrition and Microbiology this summer
- I also really like math, in case you couldn't tell
