So I have narrowed my search down to 5 schools I'm considering applying to for MSN-Nurse Practitioner. I would like some input from anyone who is currently in these programs to better assist me in further narrowing them down to only 3.
Maryville University - not sure about this one as I have heard the group projects are kind of a pain and the admissions advisor seems quite RUDE!!
South University - the admissions advisor has been very helpful and has helped me make several decisions so far
University of South Alabama - haven't actually received any communication from them so far but have heard good things about the program
Clarkson College - same as above
Simmons College - have received email communication but I have not had a chance to call on the phone yet
I have spent literally all day on my computer trying to narrow this search down. Any insight/advice/criticisms regarding any of these programs will be greatly appreciated.

I think you will just have to make a list of pros and cons for each and go from there. It really should be an individual decision or apply to all and go from there. I started to apply to South, but my circumstances needed me to finish in less time, so I applied to Simmons, Georgetown University and finally University of Cincinnati. My biggest thing is I wanted to know what their pass rate was on the FNP exam. If a school couldn't give me that then I didn't apply. Simmons online is brand new, so they do not have a pass rate, but their on campus pass rate has been 100%, and their classes are set up just like Georgetown and take 18mo full time to complete (which is what i needed to do) the cost I believe is roughly $55K, I think Maryville was in the $35K range, and South in the $35-$40K range...University of Cincinnati is $35K for the program, and Georgetown is around $80K now I believe. Good luck with your applications!
