Do you ever feel guilty on your days off (not sick days)?
It's my day off. I can do what I want. I work all week, and my weekends usually involve running errands or seeing friends/family, so having a day to be lazy is wonderful. Once or twice a month my SO and I 'plan' a lazy day. Mostly in which we go "do we have plans Sunday? No? Alright, we'll run all the errands on Saturday, but groceries and ***, then let's not leave the house on Sunday." planner templates

Favorite Gear for a Gift?
Get her a massage! Or a chiropractor visit... you can really mess up your back as a nurse it’s good to start habits of self care like this, especially since I’m sure she is stressed to the max. Plus who doesn’t enjoy a massage? Scrubs, name tag for stethoscope, watch, medical scissors, nice pens (black), nice goal planner, nice water bottle.

Digital/ Hardcover Books
Maybe try purchasing one e-book and then a few physical books and see which you prefer. I use both, personally. For instance, I have physical ATI books but I love the digital versions because it makes remediation for every proctored exam so easy plus I can easy to make copies to a digital planner. I like my physical pharm book because I tend to scribble notes in the margins and highlight.

Finishing Nursing School w/ Depression
All totally normal. Just remember, this is a sacrifice you are making in the short term that will pay off in the long term. It's an investment really, and he payoff happens when you finally graduate and pass your boards and start working in a place you enjoy. Do you have health insurance? Does it cover therapist or counselor visits.? If so, I would recommend getting set up with somebody who you can talk to and who can guide you through this time. Nursing school is incredibly stressful, and some people, myself included, need somewhere to go to vent, talk about their problems, and receive guidance. If I'm having a bad mental health day I usually journal to get my bad day/thoughts out. It helps me to write things down rather than taking a walk as I think too much when I'm agitated. https://printsbery.com/planner-templates/daily-schedule

Happy Valentine's Day!!
Happy Valentine's Day!! I’m happy as can be that my wedding invitations arrived yesterday! I’m scurrying to get them all ready to mail out tomorrow. I originally intended to DIY my invitations. I had a killer design but decided I’d rather save it for a wedding shower I’m hosting later this summer and save myself a million hours. So I've downloaded them from https://onplanners.com/invitations/simple-elegant-wedding , customized them and printed through the local shop

Gear for new (overnight) LTC nurse?
What makes my job easier is a good clipboard (plastic so I can clean it), pocket planner such as https://onplanners.com/notebooks/best-pocket-notebooks and a well organized report sheet that has everything I want at a glance. The two things you need to know about being a nurse that school won't cover are organization and time management. I don't know why they don't teach that.

Recording Lectures?
I'm focusing on staying organized and keeping up the readings. For note taking I'm in love with my Five Star Flex 1.5 inch Hybrid NoteBinder. True to its description being "like a notebook and works like a binder" I've used it my first week for each of my classes. I keep my handouts in the provided inserts. I take notes on the loose leaf sheets and then rewrite them, neater into a spiral notebook post class. I easily swap out anything I need depending on the class. I also upload all material that the professors give to a dedicated school folder in my online Google Drive. Each class gets its own folder. I upload my syllabus and any PowerPoints to each respective class. I print out my powerpoints using the 3 slides per page so that I there are note lines printed next to each slide.

What pocket guides does everyone use?
Make your own. Get a little book like notepad (nonspiral bound like https://onplanners.com/notebooks/8-best-notebooks-bullet-journaling) and write down the tricks of the trade (how to prep meds, what people call things, equipment for procedures, necessary forms, etc.) The commercial guides are nice but not practical and are more educational than do this at this time kind of thing. Example is it gives you a diagnostic for the acute ab but doesn't tell you how to order your protocol cause the doc is super busy and you could have labs and urine results back by the time they see the patient. That kind of thing only comes from doing it and asking how it's done and when. And you can write it in a way that you will recognize.

Patient Sitter Interview
One of the most important things you can do to prepare for your first interview is to know yourself: Why did you choose a career in nursing? What do you like most and least about it? Where do you see yourself in the future? How do you usually handle stressful situations? How do you deal with difficult people? What makes you a great candidate for this position? Practice discussing some of these questions with a friend or family member. Invest in a classy, classic outfit that you can wear for years to come, not a trendy outfit job-interview Know the organization's policy on tattoos and piercings and dress accordingly.Wearing your hair up newaylook will also make you seem more credible.

Will green skin hurt my career?
I to tend to purple, I saw so gorgeous ideas of hairstylezz I have a friend who works for a big bank and has worked there for years and she changes her hair color and style almost every month, and I'm not talking tame styles/color . No matter how fair the interviewer is, first impressions do make a difference. The interviewer can move past this prejudice in the course of the interview As for changing your hair color just to impress her/him, I would advise against that. The fact that you are asking this question tells me that you want to be respectful of the interviewer and that you want to take the interview (and be taken) seriously. All in all, being yourself is definitely the way to go!

Long hair unrestrained at work
How you present yourself to the world is how most people perceive you. Once I had an ER doctor who wore dreadlocks and immediately I made the assumption that she wasn't cut from the same cloth as many of her colleagues. I was right, and as it turned out, she could also tap dance and sing goofy songs as well as provide me with the best medical care I had ever received. I have never had problems with dreadlocks, but I know that this might not be the case for others. If you want people to think you are the kindest, gentlest, most approachable nurse in the hospital, the day glo green Mohawk hairstylezz probably won't reinforce this image.

Are hair accessories unprofessional?
I used to work at a pediatric office prior to working in the hospital and one day, when my "big girl scrub" were all in the laundry, I had to wear my Mr. Potato Head scrub top. That top made more patients smile than anything else, especially the elderly, so from then on I sporadically wore my pediatric tops as they were great conversation starters and made everyone smile. Same with your" signature" hair flowers. It can be if it's beautiful and not harming anybody. And I liked ideas with flowers. I just googled and found really gorgeous ideas http://newaylook.com/best-flower-girl-hairstyles/ ,it seems not for work but for party is great.

Gel polish
Each hospital has their own regs and standards. Some won't allow a nurse to wear anything, while others will. But [personally I think If you are part of any kind of patient care at all (housekeepers, aides, lab, radiology, therapy, etc.), our town hospital doesn't permit enhancements of any kind. No polish is allowed, either colored or clear. Office workers are not included in the ban. I prefer nude nails like http://newaylook.com/best-ideas-on-nude-nails/or cream tip french. Now I have done real short gels with a sheer pink polish.

My hair is dyed.. Job interview
I just googled Fuchsia and found that it last trend 2017 http://newaylook.com/best-purple-and-blue-hair-ideas/ By the way my sister has navy blue hair for a while last summer. She also has an asymmetrical cut, and the sides of her head shaved, with a little design shaved in, and no one at her job has said anything, other that a remark each time a new design is shaved in, about how awesome it is. She is in government, in a generally conservative field, but I've noticed lately things have been loosening in terms of hair and tattoos, especially with younger employees. (She is in her late 30s, so roughly her age and down)

Just saw I like colors, I like rainbow hair but just look on I saw really gorgeous variants in neway look But now it's going with me ! My mentor has pink stripes in her hair. I can't image it will be too much of an issue, but might vary trust to trust.
