  1. My completion date is April 16, 2015. I finally feel normal. I have a job I love and am in a completely different place. When I first logged on in this forum I was a mess.. If I can do this, anyone can do this...
  2. Ok well I stand corrected but I don't understand why anyone would settle and pay for an education from a school that is not invested in having accreditation.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but it is my understanding that most hospitals will not let you work if your are taking oxycodone and Valium for chronic pain right? There is a post on in general nursing forum about this. The OP is a nursing student applying for her first job and thinks because she has a prescription she will be hired and employed by a hospital. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought this would be problematic.
  4. I could not agree more. That is the most frustrating part of my job as a hospital LC.
  5. Thanks for your suggestions!
  6. I'm in Texas. VBACs are never induced, it's contraindicated per hospital policy. They have to do it on their own or get sectioned. As far as push back, I'm sure that they don't like it but it's the rules and if they complain, their told they can practice elsewhere. My hospital is not physician driven so temper tantrums etc are not tolerated.
  7. My thoughts exactly....
  8. I'm wondering why you can't see your test results? Mine are posted the same day that they are reported.
  9. I have had no problem. I actually like the online ability to do reports. It's safe.

If you want to work in ob, many places ARE requiring that you have NRP along with BLS before you are hired. They now treat it the same as requiring BLS before you are allowed to work on your own time and expense.
  11. I was pregnant my last year of nursing school. It wasn't planned, I also already had a two year old. I didn't worry about the possible problems that could have arisen, such as pregnancy complications. I was having contractions during my graduation and delivered a week later. I sat for my boards two weeks after that. Looking back, I don't know how I did it. I guess I was a little naive but it worked out fine.
  12. Here is my question. HR is asking me to share my TPAPN info with them. I'm concerned that this information will be stored with my file long after I complete TPAPN. Is HR supposed to have this ? According to TPAPN, any information regarding TPAPN is to be kept in a separate file by my supervisor. I'm assuming that this is to prevent this info from following me. Has anyone else had to share this info with an HR person?
