  1. Congrats! I agree with most of your methods. You're analysis of NCLEX Mastery app was spot on. I use it everywhere i go!
  2. Do you really need a class or do you just need to do endless amounts of practice questions. I would say probably the latter.
  3. Don't spend that much on questions! Kaplan's questions are not "superior" to others, they are practically the same. Try a cheaper option
  4. mobile apps. I hear there are some good ones and some students I know rave about being able to use them all the time
  5. IAnursing22: Any suggestions? There seems to be a lot of them
  6. If you want just review questions, I would go with a mobile app. They are cheaper and more convenient than text books. Just look in the app store, there are plenty of good ones
  7. Runaway, good analysis of the apps. I would agree with everything except I haven't had crashing problems with Davis. But you are right that they are the same as the corresponding book. I would also like to add: NCLEX Mastery: New app, lots of free questions. questions are as good as any resource but easier to use and prioritize your studying. Also, there are some memory tricks and mnemonics. NCLEX (by Ion Citadel): Basic/ordinary and inaccurate answers. NCSBN: Seem a little easy, but the app is easy to use ATI: Quality questions, but call me a nerd, I like an app that works smoothly and easily. This app does not Can anyone else add anything?
  8. My condolences!I just head of intranasal fentanyl...now I know!thanks
  9. Thank you for sharing this message from the bible...Happy Sunday everyone..
  10. Tsk,,seems to be a serious problem... I could not also thrive in an environment like that, because aside from the stress you get from the work itself, you still have to deal with these people!
  11. Thank you for this very well explained and informative article! Would really help me in my practice=)
  12. Yeay! Congratulations and welcome to the nursing world=)
  13. I wish I have the courage to bend and break the rules for the sake of making others happy as my conscience is very strict =(!!!
  14. We aren't really in control of everything and we cannot blame someone for being ill...mentally ill!Same as this nurse do!Hope she can get more support rather that judgment! and recover as soon as possible
  15. cheers! Congratulations for being an RN!!It does really work=)!!
  16. How long have you been doing your clinicals? If still not that long, I think it's just normal to be anxious or feel overwhelmed, but as you gain more experience and confidence, I'm sure you'll feel better!Wish you the best of luck
  17. Thanks for sharing your experience. It really feels good when a patient remembers or appreciates even just the little things you did for them.!!
  18. at the end of the day, you're still the only person who can decide what's best for you!!Sacrificing childhood dreams isn't really that bad, because that's what happened to me, There are still a lot in this life which can make us happy other that our career/dreams! I wish you luck in whatever path you may take and hope that you can get help for your anxiety=)
  19. I agree! This is a sad and a bad reality mid2348, I hope you'll get better soon!
  20. Congratulations=)!God is really good and he will give what your heart desires in his time! Just keep the faith and he will help you not only in your NCLEX exams but in your entire journey as an RN!Good luck and God bless you
  21. I bought something for myself, I think it’s pants and shirts (cannot remember exactly)..and I realized it’s feels better to spend your own earning than the ones that were given by your mom!=)
  22. I never realized that there are a lot of nurses who hate 3-11 shift until after I've read this post..because back in nursing school a lot of my classmates actually love the shift and I don't have any idea as to why=)
  23. Having Anxiety is just fine as long as you keep it low because it will actually stir your mind to work=) I am so impressed by your eagerness about nursing and I am pretty sure you will be a good nurse because that it is what you want to be! So, regarding anatomy, you definitely need it as you practice nursing, but as it gets repeated over and over again through lectures, practical exams and etc, it will just be embedded into your mind naturally! Wish you all the luck and hoping to meet future nurses like you!
  24. Actually we somewhat have similar study habits, I also love to write notes, but I read aloud, because I can retain the concepts better if I can hear it. I am actually trying to explain the concept to myself ( it’s like I am doing a lecture to myself). I love to study alone, I don’t want to be surrounded by any kind of sounds.
  25. I am sorry to hear that, but don’t be discouraged…look for other options..Do you really want to be a nurse and are you still willing to retake the subject? Things happen and there’s always a reason for that…It’s a good thing that you have realized your shortcomings and you know what your loopholes are…and that gives you the chance to still work on them!
