  1. You'er a big boy now!
  2. I have an interview next week...a little nervous. This is a great article that will help me tremendously because I haven't worked in two years.
  3. Gosh, I've never even heard of a "Interview thank you card." I've only had three nursing jobs that were years in duration, however, been without a job for 2 years now because of BRN diversion program. I have my first job interview next week and hoping it goes well for me. Sounds like a good idea that I show my potential future employer I'm grateful for having been interviewed
  4. Answer only what's being asked with totall honesty.
  5. He should have been fired for outing you.
  6. In California, taking narcotics while in the Diversion program usually is not except-able. At least not for a long period of time.
  7. Worked corrections for 8 yrs. loved it. Plan to return once I finish my BSN.
  8. So you want to be a nurse? Pull your self together and finish what you set out to do, becoming a Nurse!
  9. In California, we can thank Gov. Ronald Reagan, andl his grand wisdom in the early 1960's for closing and discharging many mentally ill pt's from the state hospitals out into communities that were ill equipped to handle or care for them. As a nurse that has in the past worked in state hospitals as well as prvt. and county institutions for the mentally insane it really was quite challenging.
  10. Wonderful, i haven't been aggressive in searching for a job yet, but my funds are running out. I've applied at 2 separate institutions since January 2012, got a call from 1 place but it was for a supervisor position and my board will not allow anyone in the California diversion program to be in a supervisory position over other RN. I just want to work part time because I'm pursuing my BSN degree...keep me in your prayers.
  11. Why was it important for you to point out that the interim manager was a RN and not a NP?
  12. I have been asked that question before but, never in a job interview. I've always wanted to be a Blue Whale.
