I did Excell Nursing Review last November 2010 at Sunnyvale. The intructors did a great job, especially Marriane. I graduated in the Philippines last year, processed the required documents to take the nclex and since I couldn't wait until they came to Burbank, I'm from Los Angeles btw, I flew from LA to Sunnyvale where the review was at that time. After the 10 day review, I went over the notes for 2 more weeks and I took the exam, then bam!..passed it on my first try! Good luck!!!!!

Any hospitals in California for a New Grad with no experience? I went to school in the Philippines and just passed my nclex Dec. 3, 2010.

Hi Angeldreamer! Whatever BON is asking for, you should have someone send it because they won't send your eligibility until they have all of those. I didn't have any relative in Baguio City where I went to school but I actually had a friend get the documents. I had her pay it first then I reimbursed it by sending the money via Western Union. Unfortunately, the first set of the additional documents that BON needed got lost in the mail so I had them send it again. Since my friend wasn't at Baguio City anymore, our registrar kind heartedly paid for it until it was sent and the BON received it already then that's when I paid our registrar back. Once all the documents have been sent, call BON to confirm whether they received it or not because the first time, I was waiting for nothing. If I haven't called, I wouldn't know that the first set of the documents got lost in the mail or something. When BON got all the documents, I called and they made me eligible through phone and 2 days later, got the eligibility letter. Good luck!!!

Yes!!! That's the "GOOD POP UP!" Congratulations!!! =) You might not still feel at ease, like I did, until you actually see your name in the bon site but PVT really works!

Have you tried the pearsonvue trick? I went all the way to 265 as well yet I passed!! I tried the pearsonvue trick 3 hours after my exam and the good pop out came out. 3 days after, I saw my name in CA bon license verification. It works in any other state as well. Good luck with the results!! =)

It worked for me!!! When I got home 2 hours after my exam last dec 3, I waited until it said deliver successful. I tried it and yay the good pop up came out! 3 days after, my name was on the CA bon site!

I definitely agree and recommend to enroll at Excell Nursing Review. How can you answer questions if you do not know content? Excell nursing review is pure content and you answer questions at the end. I did Excell just last 11/8-11/17/2010 at Sunnyvale. I self reviewed again for another 2 weeks and took my exam on Dec 3, 2010. 3 days after that...bam! My name shows up in the license verification site :). Check out their site. I went all the way to 265! i had about 8-10 calculations, 15 SATA, tons of meds. 3 days after I took the exam, I saw my name in the bon license verification site! I passed! :)

I sat for the nclex 12/3 and today at 1:37AM I checked the bon site and there goes my name!!!! The PVT does work!!! Thank you God! omg! Thank you to all those here in allnurses!!! I feel so down right now. I sat for the Nclex-rn just last friday, 12/03/10. I read in some of the threads here that calculations are considered lower level questions. I had about 6-8 of them. So does that mean I failed? I did the PVT 6 hours after I got home and the good pop up came up though. My friends went to the BON site and saw they're name 2 days after their exam. I did the PVT everyday since friday, it was still the good pop up. I also had 10-12 SATA, 2 exhibit, 1 audio, lots of meds (questioning doctor's order, side effects), few delegation, around 3 drag and drop, infection control and lots of prioritization (which patient to see first). I finished all the way to 265. I hope someone out there had a lot of calculations and still passed.

hey everyone! I'm a pinay as well...my sn says it all lol. Anyway, I sat for the Nclex just yesterday. Waiting for the result is absolute torture. Anyone from L.A., CA? If you guys have any question, I'll be happy to help. Just pm me. But for now, the waiting game is ongoing...

I took my Nclex-RN yesterday. After 6 hours, I did the PVT and got a good pop up!! Oh How I wish this is really true. Well based on what I read in this thread, it is but I have to see the official result. I can't sleep and I can't keep still...well at least the PVT is the only thing that's making me sane right now lol.

I also made flashcards and my study buddy(who is my bf) & I throws back one and answers one. I'm taking my nclex this friday too! good luck to us! =)

The best thing to do is have your relative or friend in the Philippines request your TOR and everything that needs to be signed from your school and have your school send it, or have that relative or friend of yours send it (in a sealed envelope) via LBC(which takes 5 days), FedEx(5 days) or Postal Service Express Mail(5 days). Before I left the Philippines I took care all of this myself. However, BON will be sending you a letter with all the additional requirements that you need to submit from your school so I recommend you to pick a person who you're going to rely on to gather all those for you. g'luck!
