  10. Getting into nursing school. Advice?

I don't live in your state so I don't have any knowledge about their schools or reputations. My advice would be to go to the Oregon Board of Nursing's website and look for accredited programs. And then I would make appointments at schools to talk t...
  11. Missed Dosage Calc by two points!!!

At my school you have to get a 95% to pass the dosage calc class. We then take a dosage calc exam before we begin each new clinical rotation and have two chances to get a 95% or you cannot go to clinicals that rotation.

The way I was taught to is to see what the question is looking for in the answer. (like ml/hour or gtt/min, etc) Then you set the problem up by putting what you need on top for you answer first and on top, then what you need on bottom for you answer...

  23. Test Reviews.... a poll

The BSN program that I am in does NOT do test reviews. They will on regular exams (not finals) give us a printout that tells us which question numbers we got wrong and give us a "blueprint" of the exam that tells us the topic of the question. We neve...
  24. Med Surg I

Some things that helped me get through med surg I were really knowing my ABG's and standard lab values (like K+, Ca, Na, etc..). They will teach you the ABG's in class but maybe start making some note cards on all of these things and look at them of...
