  1. Thanks for your advice. I gave myself the weekend to cry about it and be upset. I am taking Kaplan right now, so no time to mope. I have that book and I will certainly use it. Thanks again.
  2. You are right! I hope the petition goes through. Keep us updated!
  3. I am starting to think that the only way to conquer the exam is really studying and doing practice questions. Exchanging things and versions, with the exception of advice and pointers on study tips, will not get us anywhere. Best if luck to everyone!
  4. I have the mindset 'you get what you get!', but if a student has the courage to ask then go right ahead! The most that can happen is that you will be told no.
  5. Best of luck to you!
  6. Good luck to you all. I am graduating this May! :)
  7. Does anyone have any advice?

  9. I am just curious but what version did you guys take? What version are you taking next. We took 1.
  10. That's interesting. I have heard that V3 and V4 are a lot harder. I am hoping I get V2 the second time around.
  11. Yes, it certainly sucks. Actually I know I can get it the 2nd time. I am being confident! :)
  12. Hey Everyone, I took my HESI yesterday, V-1, and I must say that I did not find it to be that hard. I was worried because everyone had said how difficult the exam was. My university requires a 900 to get your diploma and I got a 899. When my instructor told me I literally almost passed out. I'm thankful for second chances, just bummed out. I get version 2 next round. I have to take a bridge course in June and we re-take it in July/or August. If feels like a while from now but I am trying to remember that I would have been studying for NCLEX anyways. It will just better prepare me for the exam. For anyone who has taken V-2 is it harder? Someone said it was, not sure to believe the hype. Another thing, I am not even sure how to study. I used the Evolve book last time. Those of you who have taken it do you recommend that I start from the beginning of the book again? I'm just not sure. Thanks

  14. First, let me say that I think it's a very wise decision for you to look into CSU. It's one of the most affordable schools around and our program is great! I am going to be a senior in the program this fall. What are the semesters like? Well, semesters run pretty smoothly. As you can imagine just like any nursing program it's a lot of work! The semesters are hectic and require a lot of focus. You start clinicals during your first semester as a junior (in Fundamentals). When you get into your second semester clinicals are twice a week and lectures happen twice a week. How are classes structured - am or pm? Is there a variety of class times offered? As far as the major classes (OB, MedSurg, Peds) there is only one time available, because we take the class all together. These classes are offered in the morning (8:30-11:50). Other classes, such as research for instance are offered at other times, some PM's. How big was/is your class? When I started we had about 50 people in the class. I think now we are down to about 30 or so. OB knocked a lot of people out. How competitive is it to get in? It's very competitive. Last year about 250 people applied and about 45 got in. Don't let that dismay you! :) Best of luck and if you have any more questions let me know!
  15. Congrats on passing HESI! I feel your excitement! :)
