  1. Okay so just checking if anyone in the world is going thru this. I know everyone has problems but here goes mine: First of all I am in my second semester of my first year in the ADN program! I know this is absolutely what I want to do and am loving it BUT I have nursing class Mon-Wed 8am-12 or 2pm on Mon for lab. I also have to take my A&P2 at night so Mon-Wed 5pm-7:45 for that and my clinicals are Thurs and Fri night from 4-8:30 so my clinical prep is either Wed night after A&P or Thurs morning. So I am gone Mon-Wed by 7am to take kids to sitter then after nursing I have to go home which is 25 min. from school wait for all kids to get out of school when I can then take them to another sitter and go back to school until 8pm or after and all day Thurs and then Fri nights. (By the way I have all my prereqs done for the program except A&P2 because I took it before I started the program and had to drop it because my little brother had a liver transplant and I had to go stay in Chicago with him) Okay so anyway I am married with 3 kids ages 8,4, and 3. My husband goes south to Mississippi for work(I live in IL) for the winter. So I am pretty much single mom during this time. Oh my goodness it may just be this fluids and electrolytes test that has got me sooo frazzled but I am having a hard time talking myself into not quitting. I just had one of my hardest clinicals yet tonite. None of the nurses feel they should help with anything although they too were in my position not long ago so I dont get that but I really am lost on what I am suppose to do and what they are suppose to do when I am assigned their patient. I'm afraid to step on their toes and be in the room with their patient although it is my patient I dont know this is soo hard and I just want to know is anyone else sooo extremely stressed from all this, this is really hard and I knew it would be but when exactly am I suppose to study???Because I cant seem to find any time for it Im really terrified to take this test on monday over surgery,F&E's,shock, and who knows what else they will throw on the test. Well sorry for such a long post but I think it helps me to just write it out.
  2. I would really like to be a nurse in the obstetrics dept., I would really like to help deliver babies and take care of them. I have heard this is very hard to get into. I am just now about to enter the ADN program and wonder if there is an extra degree I will need for this or extra classes I should go into.ANY ADVICE?? Thanks!!
