Think about it!!! You passed!!! Why do you think those programs are good at preparing test-takers???? Because they go beyond what is expected. I all of the reviews just stuck to what they "though" could be asked on the NCLEX in a "knowledge" based fo...

  8. Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?

I would think so considering that the NCLEX-RN/PN are nationally administered tests. It also sounds most like a system loop-hole in the PV registration to keep passers from registering again. Most likely to keep from having to refund money.
  9. Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?

Well.... I have to jump on the band-wagon here. I finished the NCLEX-RN at 0845 this morning after testing for one hour and fifteen minutes, completing a grand total of 75 questions. I have never been so exhausted in my life as I am at this very mome...
  10. Assessment in 20 mins?

In the managment clinicals (management of care), we have 6 pts to care for. We have 3 1/2 hours to complete all assessments with narrative focused and morning meds....as well as ND, interventions, teaching, etc. So 20 minutes to do 1 assessment is de...
  11. Malpractice Insurance for Nursing Student?

My program carries a blanket coverage good for all students and is covered in out tuition.
  12. i agree that d. is the correct answer. in a, it says that the team will "challange" the client to alter distorted thought patterns and view self and world more realistically. this means, too me, that they are going to try and devert the patient away ...
  13. "Ah, there's no shame in that"

So guys, this is my first OP on this forum, but I felt that this needed to be addressed and it's occurence examined. I reccently experienced, for the up-teenth time, this (usually with another male): Other: "So...uh....are you going to college or an...

  15. Taking two anatomy classes at once

In hind-sight, taking two anatomy classes would have been a cake walk compared to taking three concurrent nursing classes...which my college nagotiates for the final two semesters. Of course, some people do not take all three in one semester, like I ...

  17. Becoming an RN just for the paycheck

I am looking forward to the decent money that I will be making as a RN and hope to use it to further my education...but I do agree with the poster on most points. I can personally say, that if I didn't want to be a nurse with all of my heart...you co...
  18. Difference between normal saline for inj & water for inj

I am a nursing student...and from what I understand from instructors is the NS is the only thing that should be used for flushing IV catheters of any kind (unless heparin is indicated). The reasoning for this is that NS is the closest in solution to ...
  19. "Nursing students with C's are still nurses".. ?

I agree with Daytonite....and would like to add that nursing school is only SIMILAR to actually being a nurse. Incorporating one's teamwork abilities would also be important. There is really no way to distinguish "good nurses" from "bad nurses" by th...
  20. To Flu Shot or Not??

I used to be against getting the flu shot 1) because it contains only 3 strains max of the flu virus and 2) the side effects. ....BUT... Since I have began my nursing career, I feel that is my obligation to protect my patients first and foremost by e...

  25. Applying to Nursing School Blues

If you want to be a nurse, you will be a nurse. It is sad that acceptance levels are so low. I know when I started applying for my nursing program...the acceptance was 70 out of 150 and was based on a point system weighing gpa, prereqs and the entran...
