CPNE MPAC Questions
Hmmmm...I don't know....I tested in Albany, and folks either knew their critical elements and passed, or didn't know them and failed. I didn't really notice that anyone had any special leeway....

question about EC weekend clinical
I passed my CPNE as well, and have never heard of anyone dealing with a similar situation. I agree with Lunah, though, that no one will fail the entire CPNE for only one minor mistake. (Physical/Emotional Jeopardy I think is the only instance I can think of, besides acedemic dishonesty.)

I passed..

The ROPE method will get you in trouble at the wound station during the CPNE!
OK, I also just took the CPNE and passed using a modified rope technique.....mine wasn't twisted tight by any means, but it helped me to keep control of the gauze. When I went to the CPNE Lab practice thingie, they were teaching the flower method, which I could not figure out at all. I think the main idea is to not have your packing to tight, regardless of the method you use.

Greetings from St Pete's!!
OK, so we got here yesterday without event....Albany streets are a bit hard to navigate, though....so I'm glad the flight from Cleveland was quick and painless :) I'm staying at a hotel right across from Albany Med and a very quick drive to St. Pete's. I'm all tucked in with my notes to practice lab stations. Please keep sending good vibes this way.....I really appreciate the notes and support! I'll update as I can (for all you breath-holders and finger crossers!!!) Carm

2 questions rolled into 1 thread!
I don't know....I thought this was one of the easier exams....like someone pointed out, if you download Excelsior's study guide, it is an excellent resource for this exam. All the information is very straightforward.

Worst case scenarios
OK, let me throw this one out to all of the brave souls that have faced the CPNE :) For the lab stations: If something happens, for instance, you realize you contaminated your wound, or you draw up too much/too little medication etc., can you start over and correct yourself if you don't run out of time? Or is it more like the very first mistake you make, you're finished?

CPNE testing this week end!
