  1. Being that Frontier is the school that was responsible for the creation of the nurse-midwife I believe you would benefit more so there. They are a great school and totally committed.
  2. I have just begun my PMHP and have 3 potential positions already and I am 63 so NO! age does not matter there is such a need for NP in all areas you will be fine. I know many NP who are over 45 be confident and don't doubt you as this is your desire chase it and enjoy it!
  3. I was looking at those schools but did not attend them I chose Frontier Nursing as their pass rate first time is higher than national average of 80%. Frontiers is 98%. I would suggest that you compare cost, and pass rates of all before committing. I can say that I was headed to Maryville initaly but the paperwork kept getting misplaced and after being asked the 3rd time to redo I said I was not interested. Good luck in your search.
  4. Very legit on of the oldest schools of nursing in the USA. Mary Breckinridge was its founder they started doing midwifery in the appalachin mountains by horseback. Great rep and great pass rates on certification look it up. you won't be sorry.
  5. here in Florida, there is such a shortage that it's not that hard if you're not too picky. I have 3 potential already and I'm just starting
  6. that is awesome do you enjoy it?
  7. I too live in Florida, Orlando /Daytona area. that seems to be the rate alright. may I ask what type of telehealth company you work for? I'm starting my PMHP/Doctorate program in dec. so I'm trying to decide what way to go.
  8. Frontier Nursing University is worth looking at.
  9. I have and I had no problem in transferring credits I was accepted at Maryville, Regis, and FrontierNursing University, I chose FNU for my PMHP/Doctorate I start in December. Best of luck! Chamberlain is a great school I found them motivating, supportive, and available.
  10. I graduated there in 2017 I was apprehensive at first but it was the best thing I ever did. Chamberlain is a positive and supportive role the course is what's required by the state for graduation. They do require you to spend the time I did several hours a day. I graduated with a 3.8 and I worked full time running my own clinic. I am now starting my PMHP Doctorate program in December ay FNU. Good luck you can't go wrong at chamberlain.
  11. Frontier Nursing University is a great choice to look into
  12. Frontier is one of the oldest nursing schools in the USA. They have been teaching midwifery since 1930 and were the ones who went horseback into the Appalachians to help deliver babies for the poor. They are affordable and have the most expertise definitely check them out. Good Luck.
  13. I'm not aware of that program but I did complete their BSN program 2017 and have nothing but positive feelings about the school. It has an easy to use computer system, a lot of input and good conversation from professors and students, They were very available and supportive. You have to dedicate time daily but I was able to run my addiction business and graduate with a 3.8. Good luck!
  14. Highly suggest Frontier Nursing University. I have been looking for 1.5 years into those programs and they offer a PMHP program that allows transition into the DNP program upon completion of their MSN program. They are 98% pass rate versus the national average of 80% and one of the most affordable price-wise. There are 2 mandated on sites visit however due to Covid they are doing them virtually at this time. It is worth the look as they are one of the oldest schools in the USA. Very well respected.
  15. Frontier Nursing University is worth looking into you have 2 onsite requirements one each year, however, no one is doing onsite right now. FNU one of the oldest nursing schools in usa and affordable the program also alows you to go directly into Doctrate program if you desire. They have a 98% certification pass rate while national pass rate is 80%. Worth looking into jmo
  16. Curious what state you are in? and what type of facility? That is good money I was told it is $110,000 a year.
  17. I just was accepted into FNU and I've researched many Frontier Nursing University that appears to prepare you the best for testing and their price is one of the most affordable. They have a 98% pass rate for certification versus the national average of 80%. Good luck in your search.
  18. just curious what school you selected. I just got accepted into Frontier'S PMHP program and am very excited. they have a 98% first time pass rate versus the national % of 80 so I believe this is the best choice.
  19. Now with the Covid the boundry requirements are virtual. making it more affordable.
  20. Wondering if anyone has started at Frontier Nursing University yet? I have applied and awaiting acceptance.
  21. Contact local non-profits in behavioral health. They usually have a need and are willing to provide training. If not I would call PMNP in the phone book and ask if they are willing to serve as a preceptor.
  22. Curious to know how you got your information on these schools or is this just an opinion?
  23. You should check out Frontier Nursing University They have a great history ! Their FNP program as a DNP option at the end which is one reason I choose them.
