Hi. I am new to posting on this site, but I wanted to see if anyone would mind answering a few questions for a paper I have to do. We have to interview/survey LPNs, RNs, NPs, therapists, physicians, etc re: professional organization memberships. I only really know LPNs, RNs, and CNA's, plus I work nights (I don't get out much. Lol!). I just need a few answers from varying positions before this Thursday.
-Do you belong to a professional organization?
-Why or why not?
-What value do you see in belonging to an organization?
-Are there certain issues that are important to you that are supported by an organization that will promote change or help your "voice" to be heard?
-Why should I join an organization?
Thanks so much for your help!
*I was a CNA for 5 years, a LPN for 13 years, and now a RN for 1 year, & now half way done my BSN. Aside from taking this class, I am personally interested in thoughts about joining an organization. It is not something I know much about. Than you!
