Problems with financial aid

I'm currently enrolled in an RN-BSN program. I just finished my first eight weeks. I took two courses: Professional nursing and Informatics. I got two As! That said, I will only take one course at a time, henceforth. It was rough for a married man, with children, and a full time job.

I am having a lot of difficulty receiving my financial aid check. I qualified for some aid, and I want it. The school claims that they sent the check. After speaking to someone in the fin. aid dept. per email, they claim that they have mailed another check. We're not talking CA to NY. The check should have been here.

I feel that the fin. aid dept. is being coy. They won't tell me if there was a mistake on their part. They won't tell me if someone has committed fraud. They won't even tell me if I can set up a direct deposit account. It seems very irresponsible to send a multi-thousand dollar check via the mail.

I'll wait until Friday to receive a check. I'll be starting another eight week course this Sunday. Soon they will be charging my credit card AGAIN!

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? If so, how did you resolve the problem? What was the problem?

Thanks in advance.
