Priority Nursing Dx for late-stage small lung cancer

Hi,

My patient is late stage small lung cancer. Which of these would be of higher priority?

Imbalanced nutrition,

or

Acute pain r/t disease process

Thanks in advance!

Is this patient DNR? Comfort care? If so, then you are not likely to see any improvment on the imbalanced nutrition, it would be lower priority. And is it pain this patient is having? or discomfort r/t shortness of breath? THAT would be my priority. Though often we address both in end stage lung cancer the same: with morphine.

Thanks... I was leaning that direction. Looking for confirmation of my thought process. :D
