Prep course for crne in brampton

Published

Hi everyone

I m new to this site. I was immigrated last year in Canada. I want to prepare for crne kindly anyone tell me about any crne coaching classes or prep course in Brampton. I hope friends you will help me. Thanx:confused:

Recommend you start by studying the CNA's CRNE prep guide, next study Mosby's and/or Lippincott's Canadian prep guides. The key to doing well in the exam is having a thorough understanding all of the competencies.

If after you have studied independently, you still want to take a prep course then check the course offered at George Brown College in Toronto, the course instructors are the authors of the Mosby prep guide are are reliable and ethical instructors. http://www.passnurse.com/

diffindo lumos, a user on here, posted this which i thought it very helpful quote

"crne study tips

  1. use the cna prep guide to understand the crne. the cna prep guide teaches you how the crneis structured, the type of questions asked, and the rationales behind the right and wrong answers. content wise, it's not comprehensive, but it is useful for learning how to approach the crne.
  2. for contents, i relied on my notes (that's where the set of notes you took in school comes in handy), and my textbooks. know the major common diseases and medications. know the nursing process. know your abc's. know what is considered a therapeutic response and what is not. know the common nursing interventions. know what to do if something unexpected occurs (ie, chest tube disconnection, ng tube not working, catheter not draining...etc).
  3. do as many practice tests as you can get your hands on, and while answering the questions, understand the rationales. make sure you can explain and understand why an answer is right or wrong. mark the areas that you struggle with and work on those.
  4. take a timed mock exam. try to simulate environment as close to the test environment as possible. this will give you a good idea of how long four hours is, and how to pace yourself.
  5. review the gaps in your knowledge or areas that you are struggling with.
  6. day before the exam, do something fun!"

i'm note sure of any crne prep courses in brampton, but there are several in toronto. if your looking for a weekend course, then i would suggest that you check out http://www.primededucation.ca/. if your looking for a comprehensive crne prep course check you http://www.torontoschoolofnursing.com. i've heard good things about both places as they have both held sessions at my university in the past. otherwise just check out the other forums, as there are lots. i agree, just makes sure that its reputable and be sure to start studying from now. good luck
