Any fast-track school for Bachelor's

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello! I am new to the site and have been searching for information regarding nursing schools. I already hold a Bachelor's in Biology and am looking for some sort of "fast-track" RN program (1 year program). I know that some exist I am just having a hard time finding any in my state, AZ. Anyone know how I could find out if these types of programs exist in my area??? Or know where I could go to find out some information about this?? Or has anyone ever heard of a one year RN program?

Thanks! :wink2:

I'd check http://www.allnursingschools.com and http://www.discovernursing.com. They both have excellent lists of schools for different kinds of programs, if I remember right.

I'm in an accelerated BSN program in Ohio and it's 15 months long. After 2 weeks of fast-paced chaos, I wouldn't want my program to be aaaaaany shorter. Good luck in your search!

Those sites don't list every school either. Try the Arizona section of this board, and go to websites for the public universities in your state. They probably have a link to satellite campuses' programs. I was in an accelerated 2-year program pre-Katrina in New Orleans and now have found one here in Tampa that will take four semesters, including summer. More prereqs, but I'm getting them done. Most states have them, but not all cities do. A lot of schools are just starting them up too as grant money becomes available, so you might want to call or e-mail someone in admissions at schools near you and see if they are looking to start one anytime soon. Good luck!
