Pre nursing student! I need help!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all! I'm new to this but I currently am at a community college taking some prerequisite courses for Nursing. I've taken Biology, A&P 1 & 2 but that's it when it comes to "Nursing prerequisites. I still need microbiology, statistics, chemistry, and nutrition I'm guessing. Does anyone know of any schools I can transfer to for pre nursing that still are accepting applicants at this time? Also, is it possible for me to finish my prereqs this next summer and fall and get into a nursing program by Spring of 2017?

Where do you live?

In my opinion, I say finish your prereqs first and then worry about transferring later because that's what I did. You don't want to transfer when you still have all your prereqs needed to be finished; in some schools, micro, nutrition, chemistry and statistics are counted as prereqs so depending on the school you are interested in transferring to. Also, research about the schools you're insterested to apply; some have a certain deadline you have to meet to turn in all of your applications and some are rolling admission, meaning, you can apply any time. In addition to that look at the prereqs they require, the certain grades needed in those prereqs, overall gpa and the type of entrance exams they give in order to get in into the program. Yes, it's possible to get your prereqs done by the fall semester to apply to the program in the spring semester. You can do it!
