Pre-Nursing (Northern Kentucky University)

Hi everyone!

I am a pre-nursing student at NKU. I am planning to apply on Jan. 15 to start nursing during Fall 2019. Are there any current NKU nursing students that could answer some questions for me?

First, what is the application and admissions process like? I know that it is fairly competitive to get accepted, but what were your admissions stats (GPA, grades in pre-reqs, how many pre-reqs)?

Next, what is the first semester of clinicals like? What local hospitals were you assigned to?

Do I stand a decent chance of getting accepted next semester? I passed AP Stats and AP Psych. I expect to get an A in CHE 115/L, B+ in BIO 208/L, A in BIO 126. Depending on my schedule the rest of the month, I am thinking about taking the CLEP for PSY 321/EDU 300.
