Pre- BSN Prerequisite Course Recommendations for Augusta University

Nursing Students General Students

Hi friends! I am going to be a freshman at UGA in the fall but I am planning on applying to the BSN program at Augusta University and transferring to a nursing program at the end of my sophomore year. Can anyone give me the list of courses that you took that can be applied to the required core needed to apply to the program. The info on Augusta University's site is unclear so any help from an accepted student would be awesome! I know that I have to take ENGL 1101, 1102, Algebra, Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, but what else would I need. Thanks!

If you are transferring from the University of Georgia to Augusta University, in Georgia, the AU BSN program has all the prerequisites for transfer students listed here - Bachelor of Science in Nursing Requirements . You could call them up, especially for the core areas of B,C, and E, which only list general topics. I imagine they will probably tell you that the subject must be in the syllabus or in the course title (or both). For all the other courses, the Augusta University transfer equivalency guide can be found on this page at the top of this page - Admissions - Augusta University or here - Find State for Transfer Equivalency . Once on the equivalency guide page, you will select Georgia and then University of Georgia (at the bottom of the next page). Then, I would compare your classes at University of Georgia with the prerequisite classes. For example, CBIO2200 Anatomy and Physiology I at the University of Georgia would be equivalent to BIOL2111 Human Anatomy and Physiology I at Augusta University, according to the present guide. You could also look for those other general category classes (B,C, and E) to see how they transfer. I would encourage you to apply to a few schools and look up the equivalency guides for each school you are interested in.
