I got the injection for the 2nd part of my 2 step PPD test and she did it in the exact same spot as 2 weeks ago and it is swollen and itchy. I'm really thinking it's just due to irritation from having it in the same spot twice.. Do any nurses know if that might be right? It is not red or with a pustule or anything.

Same spot, or different spot doesnt matter and will not affect your PPD results. The spacing required between the injections is long enough that there will not be residual from the last injection that can affect the current results. Itchy can sometimes be normal, but don't scratch it. You could make it form a welt that wasn't there which could obscure a positive or negative result.Just wait the 48-72 hours and see if there is a true reaction beside being itchy. But keep in mind, this could be a negative reaction to the PPD formula, so you would need to direct your concerns to a physician if you think that could be the cause. However, being injected in the same spot twice alone shouldnt cause that reaction.
