:)Hi everyone.:)

Thank you everyone (all nurses.com) for taking time to write, stories, comments, tips, hopes etc about NCLEX exam! All of you helped me because I read all the comments you made for other people, so Now its my turn to write something, I am a new member of this website and I am so happy to be part of it.

IM SO Glad and thankful To GOD. I Just Found Out that I passed PN NCLEX and I would like to share my experience with you:)

YES, I failed the first time and Passed the Second time. Please Please if you fail many times don't give up, no matter how hard the challenges are, and observe this world with a healthy dose of criticism and don't just follow the herd like somebody else might do.

My little Story:

I failed the first time on October 2015.

To retake the Test Again you have to pay $150 for the Board of Vocational Nursing, and $200 for Pearson Vue.

I got my ATT on Feb!

I started studying just for Nclex on March and Scheduled my test on June 10th

Books I used:

  • Saunders PN Examination, Online Practice questions ($26 online)
  • 3300 Nursing Bullets Nclex PN (I got it for free from my friend)
  • NCLEX-PN Exam Cram (I love this book and read the 1000 questions twice)
  • The best online practice questions I used is Uworld ( I used it for 1 month)
  • Best Live review for PN/ RN is Rachell Allen (great source of knowledge skills, application of priority and SATA questions, and breaks down and make the content easy to understand, 10 days live review $ 580) Take it if you are weak in content.
  • Prayers are the BEST ($0) and Talk to Yourself that you CAN DO IT!

NCLEX

Took the Test on June 10th

I did 180 questions, but I ran out of the time :) I took my time bc i knew it bc if u run of the time they are going to check the last 60 questions.

I though I did not pass because I had like 50 SATA Questions, Priority, Delegation, Medication, 1 math questions!

June 24th I got my Congratulation letter from the Board! Initial License Information: it says "You have met the requirements for licensure as a Vocational Nurse. Please be Aware that you cannot work as a Licensee until you have your license card in your possession".

I could not believe it and I was there without words because the letter doesn't say if I passed the Nclex! I called my Friend and She said that it is a good News!

Sunday 26th, I Applied online www.breeze.ca.gov for License which is $150

Now, I don't know how long do I have to wait for my PN license by mail in CA? I hope it comes very soon!

Now, I am getting to get worried where I am going to apply for job because most of the LPN jobs require 1 year of experience which I don't have. I am a part time student and work full time as Direct support professional where I help people with a disability at home. I love them so much, they are like my parents, my family, my friends etc because I didn't grow up with my parents, dad passed away when I was a little and my mom when I was 13 years Old. I felt alone and hopeless without life but in one of my dream I saw a God on the wall "smiling at me and said "I am with You" since that time I believe in God, My lord! My story is so Long and Sad but I would like to tell you Please Never give up, and don't feel alone, don't feel that a failure is the end of the world! Failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.

Make a decision that you are going to move on. It wont happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don't care how hard this is, I don't care how disappointed I am, I'm not going to let this get the best of me. I'm moving on with my life. Success is not built on success, its built on failure, frustration. Sometimes its built on catastrophe" When I failed something I learn more lessons and I learn that success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

I love you all nurses. com Thank You very much! God bless You. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!!;)
