PMHNP Job Description

I am currently begining my NP training as a FNP. I am considering changing from FNP to PMHNP speciality. I have done a good amount of research online already and would like to hear from current PMHNPs what the career is like.

Ive read PHMNP work inpatient and outpatient. Everything from severe mental illness to a housewife with the blues. Drug therapy to talk therapy. It sounds like there are quite a few areas one could work with this specialty.

Id like to confirm all I have read and learn anything new. I am especially intrested in telepsych after I feel solid in my role.
