This is my first time applying. My friend who got accepted and already graduated from the program said they really look at your recommendation letters, essay responses and experience. She had a 3.5 GPA which isn’t that competitive but she did get very good recommendation letters and worked as a CNA before applying. May I know your academic background and experience?
Mine…
-CNA for 3 years.
- 3.8 GPA.
-good recommendation letters from employer and Microbiology instructor (where I got a 4.0).
- Member of PTK Honors society.
- Worked as a medical interpreter and HCA before.
Hey everybody,
I just created an account. Following the thread now. I have applied and also received the email stating decisions will be sent out April 1st. This is my first time applying, also applying as a transfer and I wanted to cast a wide net so I applied to PLU, SPU, SU, UW, and Saint Martins. I’m a bit skeptical of when they give an exact date, but I think it’s just anxiety talking LOL. Anyways, I got denied to Saint Martins BSN program on February 15th. I got accepted to Seattle University’s BSN on 3/10. SPU said decisions would be made mid-march, but I have not gotten an update from them yet. UW isn’t until mid April, and of course PLU April 1st. Here are my stats, and I will keep everyone updated on any changes!
- patient care technician psychiatric unit/emergency room- 6 months
-caregiver/home health aide- 4 years
-nursing GPA- 4.0
-overall GPA- 3.87
Hi everyone,
Good luck to everyone and I hope we all get accepted. This is my first time applying. Does anyone know anyone who attended the nursing program at PLU who can tell me about the program and what to expect or any alumni students? I have a couple questions to ask. I heard the same thing about decision making process which is April 1st l.
I submitted my application In February and hoping to hear April 1. I know my GPA is at least 3.5 I’m just not 100% sure because I took my Pre- Reqs at 3 schools (due to moving husband in military). I’m actually enrolled to start Microbiology next wk at Pierce. I hope that I can still get a decision with that being the only pre-req I haven’t finished. I have great letter of recommendations and have worked as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist for 14 years.

Hello! Has anyone applied to the PLU BSN program for fall of 2022? I applied as an associate's-degree seeking high school senior and was wondering if anyone has heard back. I heard everyone is receiving decisions at different times, so if you could post any updates that would be great. Thanks!
