Hello everyone!
Recently I made a post on the Nursing Student Assistance board requesting help in locating a nurse who would be willing to be interviewed for a paper. Unfortunately, until now no one has offered their assistance. I really need help and understand that it is something that requires you to sacrifice your time, but understand that you would be setting the foundation for someone who one day hopes to become an amazing nurse. Please, if anyone could help it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED...as mentioned in my previous post, the only criteria is that the nurse have at least a bachelor's degree and if at all possible is not a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Anesthetist (although at this point I'm willing to make an exception). The interview may be done on the phone or through email. Once again, I know that this is a lot but I would really like your help. If you would be willing, please please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you. Below are the questions I would need answered:
1. Demographic Information:
2. What type of setting (e.g. pediatrics, Intensive Care, community health, medical-surgical) do you practice in? What other type of settings have you practiced in? Which setting has been your favorite and why?
3. Why did you become a nurse?
4. What do you believe are the advantages of choosing a career in nursing?
5. What do you believe are the disadvantages of choosing a career in nursing?
6. How has nursing changed since you became a nurse?
7. What are your professional goals for the next five years?
8. What are the most important issues facing the nursing profession right now?
9. Describe an incident in your nursing career that caused you to question your decision to become a nurse.
10. Describe an incident in your nursing career that provided you with the most professional and/or personal gratification.
