I Am A Pre-nursing Student At Kingsborough Community College In Brooklyn New York Who Had Fullfilled All The Pre-clinical Classes And Pass The Nln For Pre Nursing Exam, But My School Had Send Me A Letter Stating That Spaces For The Clinical Phase Of The Nursing Had Been Filled Up And I Did Not Get In The Clinical Phase Because Spaces Had Been Filled Up. I Am So Disappointed And I Don't Know What To Do. I Am Thinking About Transfering To Queensborough Community College In New York But I Have No Info On That School, Please Give Me Some Very Good Advice, So That I Can Continue My Carreer, Somewhere Else. Thank You Very Much.

Ah, Kayla (((((((Hugs)))))) Who knows, a space may just open up if someone drops out--that happened every year when I was going to nursing school. Ask them, if you haven't done so, to keep you on the waiting list if this happens.

Could you work as a nurse's aide while you sit out a semester or a year? That way, you will be one step ahead of your classmates when it comes to fundamentals when you do get in to the school that you want. I would not settle for a place you don't want, at least not yet--you will be miserable and asking yourself "what if" constantly.

Good luck! Keep us updated!

THANK YOU, BUT MY SCHOOL DO NOT KEEP A WAITING LIST, I DO NOT KNOW WHY, FOR FALL AND FOR SPRING THEY SEND OVER 150 STUDENTS TO DO THE NLN BUT THEY ONLY TAKE 50, WHAT A SHAME.

hey kayla,

im a qcc nursing student, i'll be graduating this fall of 2004!! very excited by the way!!

for starters you shouldn't be discouraged, if nursing is what you want don't give up!!

qcc is a great school:d . i absolutely love it. i have had a great experience there and the prof. are outstanding brilliant women. if you do decide to go to qcc im sure you will love it as well. but from what i understand there's a waiting list to get in, but please don't quote me on that. go to the qcc nursing website and get all the info and call up the nursing dept. and get all the info you need....... lots of luck
