Please help, any distance learning/ weekend RN program?

Nursing Students General Students

I have been thinking about being a nurse for many years. When I visit family members and friends in hospital for surgery. I really like the idea of working in the hospital as a nurse. I do believe I can be a very good nurse providing good quality care to the clients.

Due to family reasons, I could not afford not to work. I missed a couple of opportunities of going to nursing school in the past due to conflict with my work schedule. Now I am looking for a distance-learning, or weekend nursing program. I heard of Excloir, but I do not have any health care experience and would not be eligible for their program.

Anybody can recommend a distance-learning or weekend nursing program for me? I'm in northern NJ. Anything within 200 miles is OK for me.

Thanks.

Just a quick add. I finished almost all pre-reqs, including A&PI, II, Chemisty I, II, English I, II, Microbiology. Cleped Sociology, psychology. Basically the only thing left is nursing classes.

Hi There. I will be attending Lancaster General College in Lancaster Pennsylvania on a part time evening/weekend basis. Classes are 2 nights per week and clinicals are every other weekend. It takes 3 years to obtain a ASN. Check them out at lancastergeneral.org, click on college. I have to work full time while attending school also. A good thing is that if you are employed by the hospital, you will get a scholarship after 6 months. So, since I work here, my tuition is paid for. Good Luck!
