thx.
I have re-applied as I am in the Phoenix area and do not wish to relocate at this time. I also have an interview in July.
They do give a test at the end of the day, which is a lot of CCRN questions, but they claim it has ABSOLUTELY no bearing on whether you get in or not. I did not think it was a hard test, but have been a CCRN for many years. The reason I did not get in last time was grades from 20 years ago that were coming back to haunt me. They had me re-take some sciende courses and get better grades, which I have done, so we'll see if that helps me this time. :)
Good luck to you. Try not to stress too much. It really is a pleasant interview experience. I interviewed at one school in PA, that I would not go to because the interview was so ugly that I wanted nothing to do with them. Midwestern does not typically ask in the interview CCRN questions, more of what can you bring to the table. They are all very nice.
Thanks for the advice. I was worried because of my nursing school gpa. I had a baby my first semester and received 3 C's. I wasn't really able to recover from that my science gpa is 3.24. I have 2 1/2 years in SICU and 2 1/2 yrs ER level 1 trauma. I'm studying for my ccrn now. My interview is July 12. When's yours?
