I have been going to UNF. I am in my 4th semester now. My GPA is 3.67. I will have 63 credits after this semester is over. Also, I will receive my AA this August.
I have been planning on entering the BSN program here, but it's really difficult to get into. What happens if I don't make it?
If I don't make it, should I just go to a different school and get a 2 year RN degree? Will my 63 credits and two years of hard work be wasted if I did this?
What are the differences between RN and BSN?
What do you guys recommend?
Anyone want to give me advice? I REALLY need it.
This is really important. someone please answer.

This is a question answered a number of different ways on all nurses.
Look at job postings in your area. Are they saying BSN required? In Florida that is a pretty common occurrence these days. Bachelors educated nurses are what many hospitals are looking for while nursing homes or long term care facilities are comfortable with Associate Degree nurses (ADN).
An RN is not a degree but a title and licensure earned by examination (NCLEX).
If you don't get in the first time, some people get a job as a CNA, some take electives, some continue working where they work currently and wait for admission. Not everyone can afford to stay in school full time while waiting for admission. Working during school is hard for some as well and thus, they work lots of over time and save that money for living expenses during school.
Many people apply to several different schools so they don't put all eggs in one basket.
No one can answer all your questions or tell you want to do with your life but you. Good luck.

Well, first of all, your AA and the classes you have taken so far are for sure not "wasted"!!! Education is never a waste :) UNF program is super competitive. Have you looked at the pre-requisite list for the BSN program? There is a list of 8 classes (I think it's 8?) that are required for entry to the program. It's those classes that they calculate the GPA off of. So if you've gotten As in Biology, A&P, Micro, etc then you would really have a 4.0 as far as the program is concerned. They do look to make sure you have a minimum GPA overall, but all of your English, math, etc classes don't necessarily matter - just that you took them.
Not sure if you've been on the school of nursing's website, but they have a ton of information on there and the entrance requirements are all laid out. The other thing is the TEAS and there are plenty of resources. I recommend STUDY and PRACTICE so you get the highest possible score you can.
If you're set on staying in Jax, your choices are FSCJ for an ADN or JU/UNF for BSN (or private schools but those are $$$). You could also check out UCF. They have a campus in Daytona as well as Orlando.
Good luck!

If I had listened to those who talked about how hard it is to get into UNF I would have given up a long time ago. I don't know yet if I am in or not, but I'm not sorry for trying. I've worked hard to be competitive and now we will just see what happens. {interview was yesterday}
If you have a 3.67 overall GPA from UNF then chances are you are a hard working, smart student. Don't think worst case scenario, think best case scenario. UNF is hard to get into for nursing, but you sound like the kind of student they are looking for. The average GPA for those invited to an interview and admitted for their pre-reqs was about 3.7/3.8. the pre-reqs are as follows:
