If you can afford to go for the RN and ultimately, it's what you would like to do, I'd go for it. It's a long-term investment, but the RN market is wide open...if you can get some home-health work in the meantime- ie. a job that would allow you to get some study time in, too...that might be an option. Good luck.

Hi Everyone,
I am a new grad LPN, and can't find a job due to lack of experience. Every place I applied for a job for requires experience. Some friends of mine didn't had a problem because they were CNA's before (it seems like).
My question is: Should I apply at some local hospitals as a CNA (though I am an LPN) to gain experience? Or should I follow my husband who thinks that I should just focus on completing my RN pre-requisites and get it done ASAP so I can apply in the program that has a two year waiting list.
I would appreciate your advice.
