Planning Ahead

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hello Everyone,

I really love this website. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. Well, I started my education at local community college, getting a AA in liberal arts. I wanted to get my ASN degree, but went ahead and applied to a California State School. I have been attending that school ever since, but, I do have to say that I experienced a lot of hardship along the way. I'm really ready to go forward and try to become a Nurse. I have always wanted to do this line of work. Okay, now I want to go forward this year and make a change. I want to complish some educational goals. I feel like I have been trying to be a Nurse for so long.... My family has suffer a bit. I'm a single mom who has no work experience and i want to get educated so I can prove to my kids that education is important. Well, I registered for a Adult school program that if I passed the test in October I will be able to get in to the LVN program in February. I also passed a test to get into an LVN program in August 28th. The August 28th school (summit career college) is a 28,000 dollar school and the Adult school is only 3,000. I wanted to finish faster, but I don't think faster will be better for me. I'm older and it takes me a while to comprehend ;). I want to be the best Nurse I can be. I plan on attending the Adult school. I also would need a cna certification before entering into a program. I found a ROP school that would only cost $120 dollars to take the CNA training. I was so suprise that it was so cheap. I also finish taking classes at the Cal state school so I can bridge over and finish with my RN. I also would like to teach someday and would like to get some classes out of the way. Can anyone tell me if I can take A&P and Microbio online. I have 5 kids and it make a world of difference when I can work at home. I also would like to know if anyone has some advice about LVNto RN programs online. Thanks for your time
