Plan to relocate, need suggestions with school, PLS

HI! My husband is waiting to be transferred to Redmond Regional Hospital from Brandon,Florida. I need to know how to go aaboout getting my stste certification transfer from Florida to Georgia.

Hi,
I'm from Pittsburgh, planning to relocate to Atlanta next year around summer/fall 06. Right now I'm attending college taking my Pre-reg, Micro & A&P I for this fall, and gotta take NET test before aug. 13. Planning to enter the nursing program for this spring 06, which I'm not sure I'd be accepted. (since there's a long line before me) I also planning to take CNA for spring 06 eventhough it's not req. I think I could work P/T or F/T as a CNA while taking/in the nursing program to pay for my school . Anyway, I need suggestions from yall, if I wanna transfer to Atlanta, which college yall suggest? I read GPC is pretty hard. Any other suggestions or recommendations? And is it easy to find a job as a CNA there?
In advanced I greatly appreciated for your reply, and hopefully hear from yall soon since I will visit Atlanta this Aug 11, and hoping I can visit a few school and ask for details. Thanks.

What kind of program do you want to attend, LPN or RN? If you want to work as a CNA in Georgia it would be better to have your cert. before coming to Georgia and then transferring it, than trying to get it here. I attend North Metro Tech in Acworth, at current time they have a LPN program and will have a bridge(LPN to RN) program next year, and hopefully also a RN program in the next couple of years. It is a growing school and they start new classes three times a year. I originally went to Kennesaw State but the wait list is around three years to get into the program, at NMT I got in on the first try and will be done with my LPN and bridge before I could have gotten in to Kennesaw State. It really depends on where you live and what you want to do.

You need to contact The Georgia Department of Community Health, Georgia Health Partnership. Their number is 800-766-4456. They can help you with transferring your cert.
