Phlebotomy & CNA

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I am planning on attending a local CNA class to get my CNA lic. I remember a few years ago, being told at my technical college that I could go during the summer months June/July to get my phlebotomy certificate. I thought it was only 2wks or so for the class. Everywhere I read online is mainly for phlebotomists wanting a degree in phlebotomy. I just would like the certification so I can get experince in blood draws. I would like to get hired onto a local hospital to help pay for my RN schooling

:nurse:! I have no experince with people in the medical field, only animals ( my mom was a vet tech. and I grew up in a vet's office...so I have learned a lot through that & now I breed dogs. So, when they need a c-section, etc I normally attend in the surgery room in my vets office) . And I was a manager of a dog boarding/grooming place a few years ago. I am hoping my "people" skills will help get me a job freshly certified as a CNA. I am in Central FL--Winter Haven area. Does anyone know of classes that will allow me to get the right amount of pokes/sticks to get my certification? And how long are the classes normally? Also, what other certifications do you reccomend? Thanks in advance!
