Yeah, try using the endings of the names of the drugs if you can... like the above post said with "pril"... also "lol" are beta blockers. Focus a lot on your cardiac drugs, know if they're alpha 1, beta 1, etc. (beta-blockers, anti-arrhythmic drugs like amiodarone, digoxin) Know your diuretic drugs for CHF and so forth. Realize that the "mycins" are hard on your kidneys. Know the common psych meds too (sorry, I can't remember enough to be any more specific w/ those...)

I have a friend in her last semester of Nursing, she said it was important to be memorizing drugs now. I have many lists from Nursing 1 with all the drugs we covered but I just wondered if there was a better way to go about learning these. I saw another post about Mosby's Memory cards or maybe it was a book. I just wondered if anyone can shed light on how they learned the drugs. Thanks for your help! I want to stay ahead of this game!!
