Phar pushes me to the edge! HELP!

Right now, I am overwhelmed and frustrated. I am in Jurior one in BSN program. Our Phar book is excellent, I read and understand it, however, there are too much infor, even I read it, I can recall all of them. Phar Prof does not have passion to teach. Objective is our study guide which basically a list of all bold titles in each chapter. I am going crazy right now. I organized a 80 pgs typed study guide for one exam, I can't remember all of them:banghead:. I need some advice, what should I do? Could you give me some suggestions? Any website?

Thank you so much!

I think pharm and AP I (or whichever AP section you have that you have to memorize the bones and structures) are right on the same page of difficulty. SO much info to memorize.

Keep on top of your studying! An hour everyday looking over the drugs so you keep building a good foundation on which to memorize them. There should be a chapter in the book that breaks down the different type of drugs, their actions, categories, and what they do.

By now I'm sure you've realized that certain groups of drugs have certain endings and have certain side effects that stick out as being the most recognizable adverse side effects. Memorize those first! It's what helped me get through pharm, because we had to teach a lot of it to ourselves first.

Just realize you wont memorize every drug in the chapters and their side effects. Nausea and vomiting is pretty much a potential side effect with all medication, so I never chose that answer on a test :p (Except digoxin, nausea is a big early indication of toxicity I believe. lol. stupid exceptions :p)

Goodluck! Also whatever drugs you use in clinicals, review those, because I found I always remember the drugs I use more in a clinical setting!
