Petition for early termination of probation

Off probation finally and don't know how to feel, when looking on the Board of Nursing everything is still there can we really move on and put it behind us?  I feel I'm going to still have to go through the process of explaining actually what happen and somebody sitting there looking upside my head like I'm telling a lie, it is so sicking to have things happen to you just because someone is in a position to basically destroy your life and get away with it.

Congrats on being done. Unfortunately, the discipline you had will always show except in the rarest circumstances. It stays for good, IF....IF....the BON made your discipline public in the beginning.

For future jobs, Tell the Truth and stop worrying about what another human thinks of you. If you missed time away from work in nursing in the beginning due to discipline from the BON and you were out of practice for 3 months or 6 or a year or 2 years, write on your CV/Resume the truth. Write that you were actively in recovery and working on self and be open and honest and you will find it often works MORE in your favor when an employer sees you went through a rigorous 5 year program or 3 years or whatever. Most employers LOVE to see the bounce back and you do NOT want to do secrets. Secrets are deadly. They equal relapse and stress and living a lie. Honesty is freeing, lowers stress, equals resilience in recovery and no relapse, and you have no stress and aren't living a lie because you have no secrets.

When you can truly get to the point where you don't give a dam$ about what other humans think of you, then you are well on your way to mastering recovery. If you are in constant fear of "Who Might Find Out," then I'm giving you fair warning.......that's dangerous and should scare the he$$ out of you because it goes hand in hand with relapse.  Many addictionologists will even go as far to argue it is one of the actual causes/starting causes of your substance abuse. P.S. I'm talking about recovery in general. I'm not talking about You personally because I don't know your background. You may not be an addict or alcoholic. My message is geared more to recovering addicts/alcoholic.
