I'm curious what you got on GREs and how it compares to SAT scores.....do SAt scores predict your GRE scores in anyway....perhaps someone with 1000 on SATs will do about 900 on GREs?
Just curious if anyone has noticed a correlation.

They are pretty much the same test. I got almost the same score on both, though that is probably more coincidence than anything else since I took them years apart, obviously.

I haven't taken the GRE yet (will 7/27), but I either read or heard somewhere that a SAT score is not a predictor for the GRE because the SAT is testing your ability after high school and the GRE is testing your ability after attending some college. You learn differently in college than high school, so it can't be comparable. The format may be a little familiar, but I believe that the content for someone just finishing high school may be a little over their head.

I wish there existed a correlation as predictable as yours. I guess if you are a natural-born standardized test taker, then, yes, your scores *may* correlate. I am. Did mine? Nope. Also, we are assuming that the material is similar and the format is similar. Do I remember it being similar? Nope. But, hey, I took the SAT in 1998. Things have probably changed.
The difference in my experience would be in applying myself for the GRE and putting forth a concerted effort to prepare in advance (i.e. not the night before). For me, I found the materials directly available [for free] from ETS to be most helpful. The extra books etc. were nice, but regurgitated most of the same stuff. Save some pennies and look online at http://www.ets.org first.
Actually, I think I may have slept through the SAT. I think I slept through a bunch of things in those days. :zzzzz
