Hello everyone~
I currently live in Miramar, FL and lived in NYC for a year and half. I have never been to Pennslyvania before and would like to get some information on the nursing schools over there. I was interested in Villanova Schoo of nursing. What are you thoughts on this school?
My GPA is 3.3 MBA and 2.9 Undergrad BS in Business. I now my undergrad is a bit low however, I am planning on getting my certification on MBA in Information Technology so this will get my 3.3 higher hopefully to a 3.5.
Any information on Villanova and Pennsylvania life, housing, and schools would great. How is the jobs right now over there as well?
Thanks soooo much everyone :chuckle:heartbeat:yeah:

I live in PA and Nova is a very strict school. I've read about it, considered applying but decided against it. I don't know how old you are, but if your looking at have any fun at all while attending school, Penn State and Temple are very fun, while still getting a quality education. Pitt has the best program though. It's ranked top 10 nationally but again, its very hard to get into. My recommendation? Luzerne County Community College. Sounds lame, I know, but the program is top of the line, 2 year degree. I also favor the 2 year degree because you can work and make money as you further your education. I can't tell you whats right for you, and I hope I helped atleast a little. Good luck with whatever you do.

I'm a senior nursing student at LaSalle University in Phildelphia and I have a few friends who go to Villanova and HATE it. As Guerilla said, they are VERY strict and i hear getting into Villanova is getting harder. If you don't know much about Pennsylvania(or the area) I'd definetly reccommend a city school, Pitt or somewhere in the city. I'm finding as I talk to more and more students around here the ones who go to school in the city get more exposure to different diversities and have more opportunities. I would NOT reccommend Temple right now, although its a good school (one i almost transferred too) Students are having a harder time being accepted in the program, even though they were excepted to pre-nursing (this happened to quite a few people i know and they all transferred out) Also, i hear west chester is pretty good. What's drawing you to PA??
