I am new to this community and hope everyone can help me with my problem. I have been trying to prepare for next semester which is going to be the beginning of my actual nursing portion of my degree. I really want to be ahead of the ball and have some good software for my pda. I have an Ipaq4150 and ive been looking at rnLabs and some other stuff.....so if anyone can help me out it would be great....thanks, Chris

sorry, dont know anything about pda's, but i had to laugh are your user name. good one:roll

I have Taber's Enclycopedia on my pda as well as Davis' Drug Guide for Nurses. I refer to both daily at work. Hope this helps!

I also have an HP. Decided to go with Skyscape.com for the software because (1) they have excellent customer service (2) their prices are competitive and they usually have good deals going on and (3) their software is interactive with each other, to some degree. Have these loaded now:

Taber's Dictionary

Davis Drug Guide

RN Diseases

RN Labs

RN Notes

Archimedes (free)

Lippincott Manual of Nursing Practice

I think all of them are pretty good especially for doing the preclinical workup packages (I'm also a student in the last ADN semester), and when you're reading on your own.

Not so sure the RN Diseases was such a good buy. Although it touts coverage in all the major and well known stuff, there's been more than several occasions where the info I was seeking wasn't even mentioned. On the upside, RND does offer more N Diagnosis, assessment and interventions than the other Med/Surg type programs, I think.

Hope this helps,

Phil
