PCT/CNA Workload Concerns

Published

Good afternoon,

Currently my dilemma is my lack in knowledge of the Medical field, let me explain. I was overseas for three years, my life was pretty much put on hold. Frozen in time if you will, I am finally back stateside. My ultimate dream is to become an RN, I am currently finishing up my associates. I plan on double majoring in Psych and Nursing, I recently got a scholarship for a CNA program all paid. A couple weeks ago I got hired to train and work as a PCT again all paid for. My problem is the work load, I am taking the semester off to focus on my trainings. I guess I am a bit nervous when your dreams are finally getting started and you have so little knowledge of it all. I have been around nurses all my life and I think it's the greatest job in the world. They keep telling me I am on the right track. I am just wondering how to handle all the these certifications schedules and school. I've never had to juggle all this, I am not afraid of hard work that is not the issue. I am just looking for some guidance and tips, maybe some books or sources on how to keep focus and schedule properly. All tips and advice is appreciated thank you very much.
