Godd afternoon! I'm trying to hunt up some info for my techs. i assumed that since I can find a thousand sites for C.E. for nurses, it would be the same for CCHTs but nope! Can anyone give me some good websites, or any info, regarding earning C.E.'s for hemodialysis technician recert? FMC has little things a few times a month: a quiz here, a webinar there for a little bit of credit so that's helpful but of course, no one does every single one so I have a few panicky peeps here. I've spoken with my current manager but she doesn't have a lot of info nor did we find anything on the FMC or state of MI websites. Any ideas?

i am attaching a link that we used for our techs. the ceu's only work for rn's in the state of fl, but kim at the nncc stated that they would be ok for technicians. i should add that the techs reported to me that the fl ceu's are very good, but not exceptionally easy.
medscape also has plenty of ceu's, but they come in .5 intervals, so they take awhile.
the last one is the new cdc infection control ce. the link for that is also listed. good luck!

Check with you local ANNA chapter. Many chapters have educational conferences a couple times a year. Our local chapter has 2 large conferences each year that usually offer 6-7 CE's each. These CE's are for both nurses and technicians. We also do many small gatherings an offer 1-2 CE's.
The ANNA website also offers CE's to members. American Nephrology Nurses Association
I am not sure if you can do the CE's if you are not a member, but membership is available for nurses and technicians. They also offer webinars throughout the year.
Acutedialysis - thanks for sharing those links
Hello darling!! I miss you terribly and I'm so happy you are doing well :) I moved out of the Detroit area a couple years ago, gave up all the management stress and moved out here to southwestern Michigan by Lake Michigan. I still work for FMC but as an Acute Dialysis RN, just inpatient hospitals now, no more outpatient clinics. I still think about my wonderful team at Detroit Dialysis and Harper Woods FMC and remember all the good times we had!
Love ya right back!
Thank you for the info!
