Do you know how much pay/benefits an neonatal nurse makes?

RN's practicing in a hospital will make whatever the set rate is for nurses at a given level of education and experience. New grads will make a given amount no matter what area of the hospital they work in. Some hospitals will add in a differential if the RN works in a high risk or hard to staff area, has a BSN, or if they put in extra education hours to improve their skills.
Most hospitals will give shift differential. A new nurse will probably earn about 3-4 weeks of PTO-though may only be able to take 2 or 3 of those as vacation. 401(k) and 403(b) plans are usually available to contribute to after a certain period of time. Almost all offer health, life and disability insurance.
Make sure you carrry your own malpractice insurance.
Salary amounts will vary by location. In my part of the southeast, new grads are making $20/hr plus shift differential and skill pay of 10% after one year experience. No extra $ for working in an ICU.
Hope this helps.
